This is a Gas, Man
I loves me some violin. I loves me some jazz. I loves me some Cole Porter. Normally, I’m lucky if I get two out of three on that list.
Until now.

One of the many things I like about this site of yours is that it never fails to surprise me. Wow! This video was just the kind of shot in the arm I needed to get going in the wee hours of the morning. Thank you. The video feed was a bit “choppy” but I’ll take this kind of jazz any way I can get it. I do have broad band (read SBC’s $15 DSL) so I don’t know if the choppy feed is due to the fact that it comes thru your site instead of direct or even if that matters. Anyway, thanks Joe for the tasty treat, even if youare not a REAL jazz fan and only PLAY ONE ON TV.
You know, although I played the violin for 7 years, I was not even close to being that good. Of course, if I could have played it like that, I would probably be doing it for a living now. As far as the video stream, it worked perfectly. Very smooth with good sound. Fred, I too have SBC DSL, though I shell out the extra 5 bucks a month for the DSL Pro, which brings my speed to about 3 to 4 Mbps. I’m guessing that is why I had no problem. Then again, if you DO have DSL Pro already, then I’m sure you know how clogged bandwith gets sometimes. People viewing ifilm.com at all hours of the day will surely slow things down for the rest of us. lol
Finally, Joe: “This is a Gas, man.” Hmmmmm. I am sure it’s a common jazz term, but in my opinion, you are turning into Dad.
I would take that as a compliment, though.
Turning into Dad? Hadn’t thought of that. Egad, I even own a station wagon.
Yeah, but you also have a dark green SUV. I doubt your dad has one of those. And even if you are becoming a bit like pops, he probably was never a “father killer” on the “group w” bench (listen to Alice’s Resteraunt for understanding) and is ok to immulate some.
Granted, Dad has no green Xterra, but he does have a Dodge Dakota Quad Cab truck with the optional 5.9 Liter V-8 and heavy duty suspension/transmission package. Well, then again, he also has a Chevy Venture minivan, so yeah, he’s still like a “station wagon” dad.
